GRIT Update: Driving Innovation Together
Our GRIT (Government Reform, Innovation & Transparency) initiative, supported by the Commerce Innovation Lab, continues to thrive thanks to your engagement. We’ve received an impressive 54 innovations to date, with 20% already implemented and 48% under review. I want to extend a special thank you to Joanne Hogenson, Josh Witte, and Scott Nelson for their leadership in the Commerce Innovation Lab and for their impactful contributions:
- Joanne Hogenson recommended discontinuing fax for filings and payments in the Division of Corporations, mitigating security risks and processing challenges.
- Josh Witte proposed using N8N Agentic AI to automate the screening of licensing applications and review complaints for fraud risk, a proposal currently under review by DTS.
- Scott Nelson recommended enhancing the Renewal Notice by moving and highlighting the Registration Code, which has resulted in a notable decrease in call volumes during the current renewal cycle.
Your dedication to innovation and continuous improvement is genuinely making a difference.
Warmly,
Margaret Busse
