October 27, 2021
Finance Director Peter Anjerwerden, Executive Admin Assistant Julie Price, Executive Director Margaret Busse, Deputy Director Jacob Hart, and Communication Director Zach Whitney represented Commerce assembling hygiene kits for refugees

On October 18, members of the admin staff joined employees from other state agencies to help in a service project organized by Governor Cox and Lt. Governor Henderson.

The project involved assembling hundreds of hygiene kits that were then donated to organizations that serve refugee, homeless and foster care families. The kits included things like soap, hand sanitizer, lotion, masks and sunscreen.

This service project is part of the governor’s service emphasis, as outlined in the One Utah Roadmap.

Admin staff said it was rewarding to be able to help put together these kits that will benefit underserved populations in our community. Our commerce team has been so generous through our various service projects. It’s great to give back.
